LOCALITY


Cornwall has 320 miles of some of the finest coastline in the world. It is remarkably beautiful and renowned for its harbour villages and gardens.
Truro, with its cobbled streets and Georgian houses, is situated at the head of the Truro River and Fal Estuary. With Falmouth only ten miles drive in one direction and St Austell fifteen miles in the other. Even the furthest corners of our County, such as Lands End, Cape Cornwall or Tintagel can be reached in an hours drive.
If you are not a driver then there are rail and bus services within a mile of the hotel. Directions from Exeter
At J31 on the M5 take the A30 for Okehampton continue on the A30 past Okehampton, Launceston and Bodmin (approximately 85 miles).
At A39 (Carland Cross), turn left for Truro (approximately 6 miles).
Turn right at junction of A390 and A39 and arrive at Truro after one mile.
On approaching Truro on A39 proceed across first and second roundabouts onto bypass (Morlaix Avenue). At top of sweeping hill turn right at twin mini-roundabouts into Falmouth Road (Arch Hill). We are  100 m on the right.
Directions from Redruth
Take the A30 east. At A30/A390 (Blackwater) juction take the A390 to Truro.
Continue on A390 past Royal Cornwall Hospital and County Hall. At mini roundabout junction with A39 (Arch Hill), turn left into Falmouth Road. We are 100 m on the right.

Directions from Falmouth
From Falmouth take A39 towards Truro. At mini roundabout junction (Arch Hill) of A39 / A390 continue across the twin mini roundabouts.
Truro is a market town and Cornwall’s only cathedral city. It is a busy commercial centre and is centrally located, which makes it ideal as a tourist base. It is an excellent shopping centre.
Truro has a first-class theatre, a multi-plex cinema and the Royal Cornwall Museum, as well as a good selection of restaurants and pubs.
Truro has some beautiful parks and gardens, river walks and boat trips which can allow a visitor to appreciate the tranquillity of Truro’s quieter corners and surrounding countryside.
Family history resources For people researching their family histories, the County Records office is a few minutes walk from the hotel.
Enterprise Boats. The river trip between Truro and Falmouth. The Enterprise goes down the River Fal offering different views of Falmouth Docks, Pendennis and St Mawes castles, St Just, Mylor Harbour, Restronguet and Pill creeks.
